Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev claimed his initial title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a former world number one, has endured a difficult season, managing just one match at the big events and undergoing a meltdown at the American major.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in specific - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface from March of that year.
Success also means Medvedev has secured 21 titles at 21 various events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a title is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six title deciders, including in the German tournament previously this season.
The player's retrieving strategy and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had prompted some to wonder if his skill to play at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform positively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, winning four of the final five exchanges to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged break points in the following set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden tour title, gained dominance to create a final set.
Moutet saved four early break points in a competitive third set before the champion broke to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev secured the win with a rally at the net area, with Moutet failing to control a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
